We’ve experienced firsthand how life-changing breaking into tech can be. That’s why we founded Break Into Tech : to empower people from all walks of life to achieve the same transformation.
Since launching Break Into Tech, we’ve helped over 500 people—from doctors and lawyers to engineers, teachers, nurses, and graduates—land high-paying tech sales jobs with salaries ranging from £50K to £100K+. And this is just the beginning.

I came to the UK in 2007 as an immigrant who didn’t speak a word of English. I was placed in the bottom set at school, and the odds were stacked against me. But I knew I was capable of more.
In 2019, I became the first student from Coventry University to land an internship at Google — a turning point that showed me the tech industry holds the biggest opportunities.
After graduating, I was stuck in a low-paying sales job earning just £30k. In 2021, I broke into tech sales — tripled my income, and earned over £100k. Today, I work at a leading AI company with the potential to make multiple six figures.
Now, I’ve made it my mission to help others from underrepresented backgrounds do the same — and build the life-changing careers they deserve.

After 8 years in the legal industry, Lara was still being offered £55k salaries that demanded long hours, five days a week in the office — often in toxic environments. As a woman of colour, she never felt like she truly belonged.
So she made a bold move: she left law behind and pivoted into tech sales.

Our Journey: From Humble Beginnings to Industry Leaders
2019
Google internship
In 2019, I got my first big break into tech as an intern at Google—becoming the first-ever student from Coventry University to achieve this milestone. (Yes, there’s even a news article about it!) That experience taught me a valuable lesson: the tech industry is where the biggest opportunities lie.
2020
post-university
By 2020, I had graduated from university and started working in a non-tech sales role, earning just £30K a year. It was honest work, but I knew I was capable of so much more. Determined to level up, I took a leap of faith and broke into tech sales.
2021
Breaking into tech Sales
In 2021, my life changed completely. I landed my first tech sales role, tripled my income, and surpassed £100K in earnings. Today, I’m proud to work at one of the world’s leading AI companies, earning a base salary of £100K with the potential to make multiple six figures in commissions.
2022
Building the Program
BIT starts as one-on-one coaching with a few close friends and referrals. Early student success confirms the process works. Program expands to include coaching calls, mock interviews, and a private WhatsApp group.
2023-2024
Lara Joins BIT
Lara joins Break Into Tech, bringing her lived experience and passion to the mission. Together, we partner with leading tech companies, grow our mentor network, and see over 300 students land job offers in a single year. We double down on what matters: helping people from underrepresented backgrounds break into tech sales and build £60K–£100K+ careers — no degree, no experience, no connections required.
2025-PRESENT
Growing Community
Lara and I start sharing our story on TikTok — and within 6 months, we grow to over 70K+ followers across TikTok and Instagram. The Break Into Tech community takes off. We scale the program, bring in top industry mentors, and help over 500 people land high-paying tech sales roles — proving that your background doesn’t define your potential.
